OVERVIEW
Modern Good developed a logo to reflect the character of this historic wine region nestled into the gentle hills of the Hudson River Valley, with distinctive wineries on country roadsides traveled as much by deer and tractors as by car. A silhouette of a jack knife was chosen for it’s rural approachable quality and the way it’s blades looked like soft mountains.

GOOD WORDS
In 2013, The Shawangunk Wine Trail (the regional marketing co-op organization of NY’s Hudson Valley wine industry) decided it was time for a re-branding initiative. After careful consideration and vetting by the marketing committee of scores of local designers and firms, the trail selected Matt Bouloutian of Modern Good based out of Philadelphia. Not only were the deliverables outstanding, but everything was on time, fully accessible and a quantum leap in the right direction for the trail.
